Perkins V State Plan - Proposal

The Perkins V funding program, also known as The Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act, significantly boosts financial support for high school vocational schools. Effective since July 2019, this initiative focuses on allocating funding based on various factors, with an emphasis on local community needs and increased state reserve funds. Perkins V aims to empower students through career and technical education (CTE) programs, providing more accessible and affordable hands-on learning experiences. According to the Ohio Department of Education Assurances, there is a significant base funding available for Career-Technical Education pathway program applications (CTE-26) for Fiscal Year 2023. The average funding base for FY 2021 in school districts throughout Ohio was $6,842,591.84 per district. The Warrensville Hts. School District is eligible for this funding stream.
